"Nice to see you today, your selections are really nice I Think the image of the eye is really strong, also I think there might be a little bit too much red in the second image and maybe a cyan filter might balance it out a bit and I think the silouettes look very interesting I am excited to see what you are going to do with them.
Great Work.Have a great day.
Thank you"

This is the feedback I received on my images for my final, AFTER, they were edited. I, first, want to let you all know that to give GOOD feedback, you'll have to learn to use your spell checker, invoke good grammar and actually give feedback that is constructive.

  • Step 1- Spell Checker IS your friend: silouettes is spelled silhouettes.
  • Step 2 - Use of good grammar.
"Nice to see you today. Your selections are really nice. I think the image of the eye is really strong. Also, I think there might be a little bit too much Red in the second image; maybe a Cyan filter might balance it out a bit. Finally, I think the silhouettes look very interesting. I am excited to see what you are going to do with them."
The use of periods, commas, and proper nouns are important.
  • Step 3 - Give details to make feedback constructive.
"I think the image of the eye is really strong." Strong how? "Also, I think there might be a little bit too much Red in the second image; maybe a Cyan filter might balance it out a bit." This is good! "Finally, I think the silhouettes look very interesting." Why are they interesting? How are they interesting? What makes them interesting?

Answering who, what, where, when, and why's is the ideal logic of anticipating what the artist NEEDS to know.
You can not leave the artist asking YOU questions. You have to make your point and move on. Don't make a partial point.

This is sad that these students in my classes they leave feedback like this probably still get excellent grades. I feel dumber just by reading their critiques.

Past Works

Here is are some of my works I did for my digital biography.

I also have some works that I did for for a new Stephen King's 'IT' book cover

(Edited images)

So I have to use these 6 images to make something that is 16x20 on a black mat board for my Digital Manipulations II class. There is a twist. I have to incorporate the chorus of Eyelash Wishes by AAR with it.

"And shadows blend one last time (save those kisses)
Your picture speaks on this time (eyelash wishes)"

(unedited images)

I used Photoshop to edit these images. I have to say it was a feat that I would not have another do. I just learned this past week how to use the curve tool to level out the color cast. I finally after weeks of lessons got the hang of the mask tool. I am exceptionally proud that I figured out how to apply a clipping mask.
