In this week of class we were suppose to take two of the six that we planned on going forward with more in our Event Mock up and revise them. Also to have them in the proper sizing for the design. My instructor suggested that I use a script-y text for my design since this event was to be designed around love and the musical 'The Color Purple.' I always loved the purple flower on a black and white background for my final design. So I think that will be the one that I continue more towards and it took me a better part of the day to pick the right typeface out of the 1,000+ fonts I have on my computer. I used Dobkin, Edwardian Script, Arial, and dearjoe1. Most of these fonts can be found at: DaFont.com.

On this design, I used Dobkin typeface throughout it. I change the opacity on the first subheader. Bevel and Embossed, Outer glowed, and dropshadowed the Header. For the catch line, I color overlayed and stroked it. Along with using the blending options of Difference.

On this one I changed the opacity of location presenting line; used Outer glow, color overlay, satin and stroke. And used Edwardian Script throughout. I used Bevel and Emboss, Drop shadow, Outer glow, and stroke for the header. I changed the opacity and removed part of the coloring via blending mode and integrated the use of the inner glow, drop shadow and stroke to make this one.

On the back cover, I wanted to reuse the purple flower idea because with either design it fits the only think is if I use it with my rough draft number 1, I will have the horizontally flip is so that is like it is mirrored as you flip it over and back. For the title i used the typeface: dearjoe1. I satined and drop shadowed it. I removed part of the coloring with the the Blend with tool. The event status and charity description, I used Arial to make it legible and did no other features it. For the About The Charity, I used Dobkin again. I wanted to keep it simple with just using a drop shadow and satin with a blending option of screen.

Since we already know which one I would pick, can you think of which one would look the best with the back of the event card?
